Are you primarily the driver or the navigator/assistant/copilot on road trips?

Always/almost always driver

I do both about equally

Always/almost always the copilot

I’m usually a back-seat passenger/neither of these

I never go on road trips

I have been copilot on damn near every roadtrip in my life. I learnt how to read a map before I could see over the dashboard (because I am a Crone and you could put kids in the front seat in those days, seatbelts optional). My mom would ask me the best route to get someplace I’d better have it. I was snack-dealer, music-wielder, book-reader for one stretch of The Books of The Terf when they were popular, I read them all to her while driving.

I’ve been on trips with other people besides my mom and have been declared a Superior copilot, despite the fact that I cannot tell left from right without checking my hands (I’m a this way-that way person. This way is towards me (right) and that way is towards the driver (left). Once we have this established everything is great).

Also it taught me to say ‘correct’ instead of 'right’ as a confirmation, so as not to confuse the driver.

Description:

Visual is a close-up shot of a photograph of a synthesizer that zooms out to show that the machine is next to a man dressed as Johann Sebastian Bach. The image zooms out until the title “Switched On Bach” comes into view revealing the image as an album cover.

In the background of the narration, a synthesized version of Bach music is playing.

BBC Presenter: The Moog modular synthesizer first became widely heard in 1968 on a record called “Switched on Bach” by Walter, now Wendy, Carlos.

“And I thought, will anyone be better off if I just go back to the hotel and say my prayers and promise never to fall into temptation again?
And the answer came back. No. No one will. And I realised there was no one there to reward me for being a good girl or no one there to punish me for being wicked. There was no one. And it was… it was liberating. And it was… It was a bit lonely. But I just knew I wanted to experience everything the world had to offer. I wanted to experience love.”

“average Vulcan lies 3 times a year” factoid is actually statistical error. the average vulcan lies 0 times a year. lying spock, who lives on the enterprise and lies every episode, is an outlier and should not have been counted

i think taylor swift wishes she was bisexual because she knows it would make her slightly more money. whereas sabrina carpenter wishes she was bisexual so she could have sex with someone who looks exactly like herself. and ariana grande wishes she was bisexual because she did too many designer drugs on the set of wicked and now she has kin memories of being glinda for real
